Privacy Policy

Cryptale is a small tool that hides messages inside AI-generated text. We keep what we collect to a minimum — here's the honest rundown.

What we don't do

What's stored on your device

Your theme choice (light or dark) is kept in one localStorage entry, and Google Analytics sets a cookie (see below). You can clear both anytime from your browser's site-data settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand anonymous, aggregate usage — which pages get visited and roughly where visitors come from. Google sets a cookie and receives the usual technical details (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser). We never send it your messages, passwords, or cover stories. You can opt out with any analytics or tracker blocker, or your browser's "Do Not Track" setting.

Where your text goes

The language model that writes the cover stories runs on the same server that serves this app — your text is not sent to any third-party AI service. The site is delivered over HTTPS and may pass through Cloudflare, whose handling of connection metadata is governed by their own policies.

Security, honestly

Encryption happens before your text is hidden, but Cryptale uses casual-grade encryption (see the Terms). Please don't use it for anything you genuinely need to keep safe.

Your choices

Since we don't keep your content, there's nothing for us to delete or export. To remove the theme setting, clear your browser's site data.
